We need volunteers during the year to assist with Concession and Spirit Wear.
Viking Backers operates 2 snack bars - one inside the school's front lobby and one at the outdoor stadium. The jobs are very easy and directions are clearly posted. An officer will open the snack bar and has the start-up cash box.
Each shift generally needs the following:
- A "cashier" - all items are $1 or $2, so making change is easy!
- A "food prep" person - most days, this just means wrapping the delivered Vocelli's pizza slices in aluminum foil or pouring hot water into the Cup of Noodles! At a few of the games outside, we serve hot dogs and tortilla chips with nacho cheese; and
- An "Adult Helper" - who will generally be in charge and help where needed.
- Help set up or clean up in-person sales and assist customers in purchasing spirit wear items!
Being at the sporting events and interacting with the students is fun and rewarding!
